BELLE GLADE — For the eighth consecutive year, the Palm Beach County Library System shares the beauty of the Haitian culture through the celebration of written word, art, music and dance. We invite you to enjoy cultural events offered throughout our library system in celebration of Haitian Heritage Month. Classes and events presented in English and Creole.

Interactive Storytelling Friends ICON.jpg on Wednesday, May 17, at 10:30 a.m. The Louines Louinis Haitian Dance Theater, Inc. presents “Dance-A-Story,” a performance of traditional Haitian tales with audience participation, drums, dance and rhymes. For all ages. (45 min.) Preregister.

Tales & Riddles from Haiti Friends ICON.jpg on Saturday, May 20, at 1:30 p.m. Telling stories around the fire is an important part of Haitian culture. Join us for a series of oral Haitian wisdom, proverbs, jokes, riddles and stories. All ages. (45 min.) Preregister.
