‘Strike Out Hunger’ event in Port St. Lucie

The Treasure Coast Food Bank’s (TCFB) “Strike Out Hunger” Night will take place from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at First Data Field in Port St. Lucie as the St. Lucie Mets take on the Tampa Bay Yankees. The St. Lucie Mets players will be wearing custom “Strike Out Hunger” jerseys, which will be auctioned to support the Treasure Coast Food Bank’s efforts to fight hunger. TCFB will be holding a food drive at the field. Anyone donating an item of nonperishable food will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win an autographed jersey. Peacock Blvd. in Port St. Lucie.
