SFWMD is assisting other agencies with the closure as repair work begins

NORTH PALM BEACH — A section of the C-17 Canal in North Palm Beach has been closed to navigation at the U.S. 1 bridge north of Northlake Boulevard due to debris from the collapse of part of the bridge on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) is assisting the U.S. Coast Guard, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Village of North Palm Beach with the canal closure. FDOT is working to remove the debris from the canal and repair the bridge.
