Drivers wanted: District hosting bus driver job fair

WEST PALM BEACH — The School District of Palm Beach County Transortation Services Department is now hiring, and is holding a job fair.

WHAT: Bus Driver Job Fair
WHEN: Tuesday, February 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHERE: 376 Summit Blvd. , West Palm Beach
School District school bus drivers receive a starting salary of $14.00 per hour with medical, dental and vision insurances and other benefits.
Those wishing to apply should have been a licensed driver for at least five years with a good driving record, clearly communicate in English in both oral and written form, be able to pass a Level II background screening, dexterity test, Department of Transportation physical, and pre-employment drug screening.
Preferred candidates will meet the above requirements and possess a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License, with air brakes, Passenger and School Bus endorsements. However, a Commercial Driver’s License is not required to enter the District’s training program.

Those wishing to apply in advance in person, or who need additional assistance with the application, can visit the West Palm Beach Transportation depot at 3376 Summit Blvd., Portable P#11 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
