Palm Beach County Closings

Based on the current projection of the storm track of Hurricane Matthew, county offices will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5 through Friday, Oct. 7.

The School District of Palm Beach County is announcing the closing of all schools and facilities on Thursday, Oct. 6 through Friday, Oct. 7. The closings are necessary to allow the Palm Beach County Division of Emergency Management to prepare to open emergency shelters, many of which are located in district schools.

All Palm Beach County Parks are closing at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 7. All Palm Beach County Senior Centers are closed on Wednesday, Oct. 5, through Friday, October 7. All intracoastal spans will be closed at 8 p.m. on Oct. 5.

Palm Beach County Emergency Operations Center activated to a Level 1 full activation at 7 a.m. on Oct. 5.
