Palm Beach County offering free spay/neuter for all cats May 21-25

WEST PALM BEACH —  In support of Palm Beach County’s Countdown 2 Zero initiative – a community wide plan to save the lives of all healthy, adoptable pets and combat the unnecessary euthanasia of cats and dogs – the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners has declared the third week in May as Beat the Heat: Spay/Neuter Week.

To celebrate this proclamation, Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control, in partnership with the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, will be offering free spay/neuter services to all cats in Palm Beach County from May 21 to May 25.

All cats and kittens age 4 months and older are eligible for the free spay/neuter package that also includes:
• FVRCP vaccine
• Rabies vaccine
• Microchip
• County license tag (for owned cats)
• Flea and tick preventative
• Ear notch (for all community/feral cats)

For additional information or to schedule an appointment, residents can contact either one of the participating organizations:
