Palm Beach County Property Appraiser’s Office 2017 Assessment Roll receives approval

WEST PALM BEACH — On July 28, Palm Beach County Property Appraiser Dorothy Jacks, CFA, AAS announced the Florida Department of Revenue (DOR) has approved the 2017 Assessment Roll.

“In my first year as your Property Appraiser, I am very pleased we have received approval from the DOR for the 2017 assessment roll, said Dorothy Jacks, Property Appraiser. The dedicated men and women in my office work daily to ensure property values are assessed in a fair and accurate manner.”

The DOR approval assures that the real and tangible personal property tax roll of Palm Beach County and that of the taxing authorities complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

The next step in the process is for the Property Appraiser’s Office to prepare and send out the “Truth In Millage” (TRIM) Notices to Palm Beach County property owners. This year’s TRIM notice will be mailed out on August 21, 2017.

As the tax year proceeds, the office will be working on the final certification of values for the taxing authorities and the Tax Collector’s Office.
