Primary election deadlines approaching

PALM BEACH COUNTY — The book closing deadline for new registration and party affiliation changes for the Tuesday, Aug. 28, primary election is Monday, July 30. People may visit www.RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov to initiate or update a voter registration or visit the website at www.pbcelections.org to complete a Florida State Voter Registration Form online and print, sign and mail it to P.O. Box 22309, West Palm Beach, FL 33416. Voters who are registering to vote in Florida for the first time must also include a copy of their current picture/signature ID when mailing the form back. Applications may be dropped off to any one of the supervisor of elections’ offices by July 30 at 5 p.m. or be postmarked on or before July 30, 2018.

Early voting for the primary election will begin on Monday, Aug. 13, and end on Sunday, Aug. 26. To obtain a complete list of the 15 early voting locations in Palm Beach County, visit www.pbcelections.org. All early voting sites will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. Please bring a current picture/signature ID.

The deadline to request a vote by mail ballot for this election is Wednesday, Aug. 22. Designee pickups begin the following day on Thursday, Aug. 23. All completed vote by mail ballots must be received in the supervisor of elections’ main office by 7 p.m. when the polls close on Election Day.
