Santa, McGruff, PBSO Deputies and Wal-Mart help to make holiday dreams come true for children in Palm Beach County

WEST PALM BEACH – McGruff the Crime Dog and PBSO Deputies, together with Wal-Mart and SANTA help to make holiday dreams come true for over 200 children throughout Palm Beach County this holiday season at the National Guard Armory located at 3193 Gun Club Road in West Palm Beach on Friday, Dec. 9, at 5 p.m.

At 5 p.m., Santa Claus will arrive, with his elves and greet the children at the National Guard Armory where they will be treated to a pizza party. The lucky children will be presented with a gift certificate to Wal-Mart towards the purchase of holiday gifts their family. These children are from all parts of the county.

At approximately 6:15 p.m., Santa and McGruff the crime dog and the children will be escorted by deputies to the Wal-Mart located at Belvedere Road and State Road 7 by motorcade where they will “Shop with a Cop”.

Since 1987, deputies have raised money to help sponsor children for this event.
