Fire in South Bay displaces family

At 2:11 a.m. crews responded to reports of a fire on the 100 block of 10th Avenue in South Bay.

First arriving crews reported black smoke from a residence and entered to investigate. Firefighters quickly located the fire and extinguished it.

There were no reported injuries and the Red Cross was contacted to assist one adult and two children displaced by this fire.

Investigators have determined that this fire was accidental caused by common combustibles on the stove.
