Man died in single vehicle traffic crash

BELLE GLADE — A Belle Glade man succumbed to injuries he received in a Sept. 22 traffic crash.

A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office press release stated that at 6:42 a.m. a 2004 Nissan Titan operated by Delga Yoelvy, 44, of Belle Glade, was traveling northbound in the 1800 block of Main Street in Belle Glade.

For undetermined reason, Mr. Yoelvy lost control of his truck. The truck entered the inside travel lane continuing eastbound and onto the median. The truck began sliding sideways in a northeast direction. The truck traveled approximately 75 feet before colliding into a palm tree in the median. The driver’s door struck the tree.

It was reported that Mr. Yoelvy was not wearing a seatbelt.

It was reported that the Palm Beach Fire Rescue pronounced Mr. Yoelvy deceased on the scene.

The traffic accident was investigated by investigator A. Loudermilk.
