Man killed in Pahokee shooting

A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office update stated that on Oct. 26, Earnest Jackson Jr., 39, of Port St. Lucie was arrested for the shooting death of Kilroy Bailey, 50, of Pahokee.

Jackson was charged with first-degree premeditated murder.

A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office press release stated that at 10 p.m. on Oct. 24, deputies responded to a shooting in the 200 block of Daniels Place in Pahokee. Upon arrival, deputies located Kilroy Bailey, who was suffering from a gunshot wound(s). The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by responding county Fire Rescue officials.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division and crime scene investigators responded to the scene to investigate further.

No motive or suspect information was known at the time of the Oct. 24 news release.
