Man shot in leg in Belle Glade

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that left one man wounded on Friday.

The incident happened at approximately 9:29 p.m. on Aug. 21 in the 300 block of Northwest 11th St., reports Teri Barbera, Palm Beach County’s media relations director.

According to information released by the sheriff’s office, a male victim arrived at Lakeside Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg. After being treated for the injury doctors said was non life-threatening, the man provided very little information to investigators, and was uncooperative.
The man would only go on to say he was shot while walking down 11th Street. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, reports Ms. Barbera.
