Man threatens deputies after stabbing

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies responding to a serious stabbing call were forced to arrest another man for interrupting the investigation. Dennis Bradley, 53, was arrested after he attempted to impede the work of deputies and admitted that he was intoxicated.

The incident happened on Saturday, Oct. 10, at approximately 11 p.m. in the area of Southwest Avenue E Place in Belle Glade. According to information released by the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to respond to a stabbing, and found a male who had been stabbed on the right side of his stomach and was bleeding profusely. The victim was uncooperative with deputies who were trying to get him medical assistance for the wound.

During this interaction, another man, later identified as Bradley, approached deputies and tried to interfere in the deputies’ work. According to Deputy Florexil, the man appeared to have been drinking and reportedly admitted to it. According to the report, the man was asked at least twice to leave but refused. Deputies then issued a command for him to move away and told him he would be arrested if he did not. After Bradley refused, deputies arrested him. While inside the deputy’s car, the suspect reportedly made threats against the officer.

“He stated that by the morning time he would know where I am and that if he ever sees me he would punch me on the back of the head,” said Deputy Florexil. “He kept threatening me the whole way to jail. Based on his threat, Bradley placed me in fear for my safety, given that I work in the city where he resides.”

The threats were captured on video and Bradley was charged with corruption by threat.
