Pahokee shooting victim identified

PAHOKEE — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has released the identification of Devonte Bryant, 22, as the victim of the South Bay male victim who died as a result of his injuries in the April 16 shooting in Pahokee.

Deputies responded to a shooting on April 16 at 7:35 p.m. in the 100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Pahokee. Upon arrival deputies found an adult male with gunshot wounds. Mr. Devonte was transported to a local hospital for treatment and later died

The victim’s name has not been released at this time.

No suspect information or motive was known at the time of the investigation.

Detectives are currently investigating this shooting as a Homicide.
