A man was shot and killed in Belle Glade Tuesday night and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the crime to step forward.
The shooting was reported by Captain Albert Borroto, public information officer with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. According to the captain, fire rescue crews responded to the shooting in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street, near Martin Luther King Blvd at approximately 9:23 p.m. on Oct. 20.
Fire rescue transported the injured man to Lakeside Medical Center, and he was then flown to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he would later be pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries.
After the injured man was treated and taken away, deputies and investigators scoured the area in search of clues. Watching closely, witnesses and residents living close to the murder scene watched as detectives searched for clues inside of a nearby home, roped off an area by an apartment complex, and guided flashlights across the street canvassing for clues.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the man was found in the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. As of this article, the sheriff’s office had not yet identified a suspect or a possible motive for the shooting. The identity of the victim is also being withheld while investigators continue working the case.
