South Bay accident claims life

SOUTH BAY — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported that on Sept. 24 at 7:54 p.m. a 2016 Ford F350 driven by Antonio Sanchez, 44, of Lake Worth was traveling eastbound on NW First Street approaching NW First Avenue in South Bay when he failed to stop at the intersection. The car struck a metal guardrail before driving into a canal.

Wilson A. Granajo, 19, of West Palm Beach was a passenger in the vehicle and reportedly died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Sanchez was arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter, DUI property damage, driving with no license causing the death of another.
