PAHOKEE — The Pahokee Middle School Band performed for the first time in this year’s Martin Luther King Jr Parade on Jan. 13. The band is primarily composed of sixth and seventh grade band students.

This is the first year Pahokee Middle School has had a full band program and full time band director thanks to Prinicipal, Mr. Dwayne Dennard.

They are excited to see how their children will develop and grow into high school.

The Band Director, Alain Goindoo, better known to the students as “Mr. G” said, “I am excited for the opportunity to bring music back to the Pahokee community!” Mr. G further expressed, “We are grateful for our parents and students who support our program and Pahokee for giving our children this opportunity!”
