CANAL POINT — The K.E. Cunningham/Canal Point Elementary Safety Patrols visited Washington, D.C., for five days recently. Students traveled by train to the nation’s capital. They visited the White House, Mount Vernon, the Lincoln Memorial, the National Air and Space Museum, the Natural History Museum and many other historical sites in the city. Ms. Dupee, fifth-grade teacher, and Mrs. Wray, second-grade teacher, accompanied the students on the trip. The students raised money through popcorn and ring pop sales to assist with paying for the trip.
