LSMS celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Special to the Lake Okeechobee News/LSMS

BELLE GLADE — On Sept. 27, after parents and staff finished the School Advisory (SAC) meeting at Lake Shore Middle School (LSMS), they got together to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

Hispanic parents, motivated by Ms. Estrella’s idea, brought a dish representing their country. This way every member attending the meeting could have a taste of their culture.

Everyone who participated enjoyed the food representing the culture of different Hispanic countries such as Mexico, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Cuba. It was indeed a Night to Remember.
