Jeremiah Francoeur was recognized for the most reading points in the fourth grade.

Congratulations to the Gove Elementary students that celebrated meeting their Scholastic Reading Counts goal on Friday, Oct. 18. This first celebration was a great success with a grand total of 119 students. Students are encouraged to continue to read to ensure their attendance at each of the bi-monthly celebrations. Special recognition and trophies went to the students with the most points at each grade level. The winners were Maawa Farid – kindergarten, Briana Cervantes – first-grader, Abir Islam – second-grader, Aleefa Ali and Manha Sadika – third-grader, Belinda Lopez – fourth-grader, Jeremiah Francoeur – fifth-grader, and Demesha Walker – sixth-grader. Students with over two million words read (since kindergarten) included Jeremiah Francour, Aleefa Ali and Manha Sadika. Gove students, teachers, and parents have done an awesome job working together to increase student achievement in reading. Keep up the good work Gove Cats!
