Glades Central track team competes in Suncoast Invitational

BELLE GLADE — The Glades Central Raiders finished fourth in the girls meet and third in the boys meet hosted by Suncoast Community High School on March 8.

Top performances for the Lady Raiders included a first place finish by Runelda Jackson in the 800 meters at 1:28.86, third place finish by Ti’Uana Louissaint in the 100 meters in 12.96 seconds, a second place finish by Dakedra Pompey in the 200 meters at 26.47.

Rinaja Mussenden finished seventh in the 100 meter hurdles at 19:59, Wiskierra Lemene finished fourth in the 300 meter hurdles and 49:22, and Willeshia Canty finished eighth in the 300 meter hurdles in 53:81. The 4×100 meter relay team finished second, the 4×400 meter relay finished third and the 4×800 meter relay finished in fifth place.

Olmanike Milfort finished sixth in the 400 meters at 1:03.55 and Jahmya Philpart finished eighth in the 100 meters at 13.25. In the field event, Philpart took fourth in the long jump at 16’2”. Mahogany Putmon finished eighth at 15’3”. Pompey added a fifth place finish in the shot put at 31 feet and Jon’Quella Jackson finished sixth at 30’6”.

For the boys De’Markus Johnson won the 400 meters in 50.78. Also victorious was the mens 4×400 meter relay. Second place finishes were turned in by Quartavis Sellers in the 800 meters, and Felton Millner in both the 100 meters at 11.4 seconds, and the 200 meters at 23.39 seconds. The mens 4×100 meter relay team finished second.

Third place finishes were turned in by Rueben Joseph in the 200 meters at 23.52, Jamar Mcclain in the high jump at 5’10” and Alex Ramirez in the long jump at 19’5”. The mens 4×800 meter relay also took third place.

Jamarian Green took fifth place in the mens 200 meters, Davian Burroughs took fourth place in the mens 400 meters, Millner finished sixth in the 400 meters, De’juan Miller took seventh in the 110 meter hurdles, and Waymond Jones finished ninth in the 300 meter hurdles.

Jones added a 10th place finish in the 110 meter hurdles and a nine place finish in the high jump.

Cornelius Fitzpatrick finished fourth in the long jump, Odieu Hiliare ninth in the triple jump and Horace Stephenson ninth place in the shot put. Da’kevious Freeman finished 10th in the shot put.
