BELLE GLADE — The Glades Central Raiders track team had four first place finishes at the Seminole Ridge Invitational on March 3.
Dakedra Pompey won the 200 meter relay in 25.98. Rueben Joseph won the 100 meter dash, De’Markus Johnson finished in the 400 meters and the boys 4×100 and 4×400 meter relay squads were victorious.
Highlights for the Lady Raiders included Ti’Uana Louissaint who finished fourth in the 100 meters with a time of 12.74, Jada Shannon took ninth in the 200 meters at 27.66 seconds, and Wiskierra Lemene finished sixth in the 100 meter hurdles in 17.74 seconds. Willeshia Canty finished eighth in 18.74 seconds.
The Lady Raider 4×100 meter relay finished in second place in 49.73 seconds. The 4×400 meter relay finished in 4.21.79 to capture third place and the 4×800 meter relay finished in 12:53.79 for ninth place.
Mahogany Putmon finished 10th in the long jump with a leap of 4.33 meters. Christina Estinfort finished in fourth place with a distance of 9.96 meters. Dakedra Pompey finished second in the shot put with a distance of 10.06 meters. Teammate Jon’Quella Jackson finished in third place at 9.75 meters.
For the boys squad, Felton Millner finished in fourth place in the 100 meter dash in 11 seconds flat. Ruben Joseph finished fourth in the 200 meter dash at 22.66, De’Markus Johnson fifth at 22.72 seconds, and Jamarian Green, seventh place, 22.92 seconds. Millner also finished second in the 400 meter dash at 50.78 seconds while Davian Burroughs finished sixth in the 400 meters at 53.11.
Quartavis Sellers finished in third place in the 800 meter run at 2:10.53. Javian Jones finished third in the high jump, 10th in the 100 meter hurdles, 15th in the 300 meter hurdles and 16th in the 1,600 meter run.
Waymond Jones finished fifth in the triple jump at 11.16 meters.
