Pahokee boys’ basketball update

PAHOKEE – The Pahokee boys’ basketball team lost at Fort Pierce Central on Jan. 6, 72-53.

The Cobras jumped out to a 19-12 lead after the first quarter and led 42-26 at the half. The Blue Devils played more competitively in the second half as they were only outscored 30-28 after the break.

Coach Gertavian Blake said he saw some positive things in the loss.
“I think we played very well. We just need to get better and keep grinding,” he added.

Kennard Smith had 10 points, four rebounds, five steals and four assists for the Blue Devils. Tyron Arnett had 11 points and two steals. Zatavian Morgan had seven points and four rebounds. Timothy Moore had second points and four rebounds while Latarie Kinsler had nine points and nine rebounds for Pahokee, (3-6).
